I grew up in Dearborn, Michigan with my grandmother since the age of 7. I attended a private catholic elementary, middle, (Sacred Heart in Dearborn) and high school (Cabrini in Allen Park). I was very active in theater and dance when I was younger. At the age of 4 I began dance at Noretta Dunworth School of Dance, then soon transferred to Pointe Counterpointe Dance Center. I continued to dance there till I graduated high school and stuck around to teach for little bit. Sports in high school were not so appealing to me, although, I did play varsity tennis all four years at St. Francis Cabrini, located in Allen Park. I decided to continue in my family’s footsteps and play the sport because I knew it would make them proud. My uncle Jeff runs a successful tennis company called Baseline Tennis. I thought it would be a good idea to work for his company and teach the game. I taught tennis at various country clubs around Michigan. While teaching tennis I was also going to college full time and working another job. My second job was working at the Dearborn Racquet and Health Club. There my responsibilities were to check members in, book tennis courts, take phone calls, and ring in some amounts of cash. I am also working a summer job at Franklin Athletic Club in Southfield, as a kid’s camp consoler.
I attended Schoolcraft College for two years and am transferring to Western Michigan in the fall of 2015. I am proud to say I have achieved many goals while at Schoolcraft. I was on the dean’s list every semester (5) and obtained an overall GPA of 3.8. I will be graduating from Schoolcraft with an associates degree in Business. When I move up to Western Michigan I will be taking classes that go toward my major. My major is Textile and apparel; merchandising, and a minor in marketing. My ideal dream job is to move to New York City and become a retail buyer for Nordstrom’s. I have always had a passion for how I dress, and how people perceive me. I love thinking of new outfits to wear and what new brands are coming out. I will do anything to achieve my future plans in the world of fashion. If you dream it, you can do it!
